July > The CDC's summer festival

In Avignon, not just in winter but also in summer, the CDC pursues its promotion of dance among the performing arts. The centre's platform, offering performances and residence for choreographic artists all year round, becomes the refernce point for those who enjoy and wish to see dance performances during the July festival season.
For ten days, the CDC welcomes seven or eight European companies, a unique opportunity for them to present mostly new pieces and interpret them over a long period in the same venue. The public, professionals and the press know they can come here to discover solo or group pieces, featuring a wide variety of forms, styles and esthetics, displaying a treasure of choreographic work.
