Talent scouting

Les HiverÔclites
Events programmed for Les HiverÔclites run parallel to the Les Hivernales festival, welcoming a selection of young choreography writers for several days. Les HiverÔclites is open to the public free of charge. These performances are attended by a committee (or jury) of professionals consisting of programmers, journalists and other culture specialists. Every year, artists interested in this programme sign up with the CDC. They are rewarded by a prize that usually consists of working in residence either at the CDC or with one of its partners (Ballet National de Marseille, Théâtre de L'L/Bruxelles).

Promoting dance performances

The CDC provides a wide range of performances, each season proposing three pace-setting events . It promotes dance as a performing art throughout the region, working in cooperation with Garance - Scène nationale de Cavaillon, the Auditorium de Vaucluse Le Thor, the Pôle culturel Camille Claudel in Sorgues etc...
> The festival: Les Hivernales
Emblem of the CDC, Les Hivernales is a week-long festival held some time between February and March. It offers many workshops and proposes performances in various cultural venues around Avignon and the Vaucluse area.
